Venue Partner Terms of Service

Effective date: July 22, 2026 · Version 2026-07-22

These terms are an agreement between the business claiming a venue on bookedby (“you,” “your venue”) and bookedby (“we,” “us,” “the platform”). By creating a business account, claiming a venue, or accepting a commission statement, you agree to these terms.

1. What bookedby does

bookedby connects your venue with independent creators and referral partners (“influencers”). Influencers share tracked links to your events page. When a guest who arrived through an influencer's link submits an event inquiry and that event is later booked, completed, and paid, the influencer earns a commission and bookedby earns a platform fee. You pay nothing for inquiries that never book, never complete, or are cancelled.

2. Your commission offer

At signup you set the percentage of collected event revenue you offer to the referring influencer (the “offer,” default 5%, maximum 50%). Your offer is visible to influencers on the platform. You may change it at any time in your venue settings.

Rate lock: a change to your offer applies only to new referrals after the change. Referrals already credited to an influencer keep the rate that was in effect when they were credited. This protects influencers from retroactive cuts and protects you from retroactive increases.

3. Platform fee

In addition to the influencer commission, you owe bookedby a platform fee (currently 2% of collected revenue on referred events). Both amounts are calculated on revenue actually collected for the referred event — not on quoted or contracted amounts that were never paid.

4. How credit works

bookedby credits an inquiry to an influencer based on how clearly the referral can be tied to them — for example, a tracked form submission from their link, their promo code, a matching email from a tracked visit, or (when less certain) a nearby click that a human reviews before credit is given. Credit follows a last-click policy within a 90-day window: the most recent influencer link the guest clicked gets the credit.

Every credit decision is recorded so you can see why it was made. If you believe a referral is wrong, tell us before confirming the monthly statement that includes it and we will review it with you.

5. Monthly reconciliation

Each month we may send you a statement listing referred events that completed, with the collected totals we know about and the commission owed. Confirming a statement (one click) releases those commissions for payout. Where we do not receive payment data automatically, your confirmation of collected totals is the source of truth. Do not confirm a statement you dispute — reply to the statement email instead.

6. Payment

Commissions and platform fees are settled after you confirm a statement. Payouts to influencers are made by bookedby; you pay bookedby the combined amount (influencer commission + platform fee) per confirmed statement. Once a commission is marked paid it is final; corrections after payout are handled as credit notes on future statements, never by rewriting past records.

7. Guest privacy and data

The bookedby tracking code on your website records referral context (link codes, promo codes, and — on form submission — inquiry details needed to connect the referral) solely to credit the right person. Guest emails are stored only for that matching. Influencers never see guest names, emails, phone numbers, or event details — only counts, pipeline states, and commission amounts. You remain responsible for your own privacy policy and for disclosing your use of tracking tools as required by law.

8. Your responsibilities

You confirm you are authorized to bind the venue, will keep your events page URL and venue details accurate, will not manipulate referral tracking (e.g., removing referral links or coaching guests to bypass them), and will report collected totals honestly during reconciliation.

9. Term and termination

You can stop using bookedby at any time by removing the tracking code and asking us to deactivate your venue. Commissions on events that were already credited and contracted before termination remain payable when those events complete and collect. We may suspend or terminate venues that manipulate referral tracking or repeatedly fail to settle confirmed statements.

10. Disclaimers and liability

bookedby is provided as-is during the pilot. We do not guarantee any volume of referrals or bookings. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the platform fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be versioned and you will be asked to accept the new version before it applies to you. The version you accepted, and when, is recorded with your account.

12. Contact

Questions and disputes: reply to any bookedby statement email or contact the bookedby team directly.
